People and Company Finder: 180 million profiles without burning LinkedIn
Frank and I shipped two APIs on Growth-Hacking.io. People Finder searches 180 million already-scraped profiles. Company Finder searches companies by industry, tech stack, a phrase on the website, name, location, funding, and revenue. Neither one logs into your
LinkedIn account.
LinkedIn gives you a daily action budget. Extracting a search uses that budget. If you only have a few accounts, you spend the session on list-building and have nothing left for invites. These endpoints search data we already have, so the lookup does not count against you.
People Finder: job title, industry, company size
The first endpoint is People Finder. Filters start at job title, then industry and company size. We can add more. If a filter would change how you actually search, leave it on the video — the data is already in the database, or we go scrape it.
I ran the demo from our internal environment after a few days of beta. A hundred profiles came back on that call. Public release is the same payload.
What the People API returns on the person and the company
On the person: first name, last name, LinkedIn URLs you can drop into a flow, email plus email status, Twitter,
GitHub,
Facebook, job title, country, and state. The demo profile was missing socials. In a hundred-row response some of them have Twitter and Facebook.
On the company they work at: website, blog, LinkedIn company page, Twitter company, Facebook company, phone, Alexa ranking, whether they have taken funding, and how much. The demo company was VoiceGain. Small. Several of those fields were empty. That is the payload working as designed — a small shop will not have an Alexa rank or a funding round.
The company logo URL is in the response. Use it in the first line of a LinkedIn message if you want that kind of personalization.
Company Finder: tech stack, on-site keywords, funding, revenue
Company Finder is the second API. Search by industry, technologies installed on the website, a phrase that exists on the site, company name, location, funding amount, and revenue. The response includes emails, LinkedIn URLs, and phone numbers.
Tech-stack search is the same job as BuiltWith. Funding and stage matter if you are an investor or you run an accelerator — a few of our users are. Query companies that have taken money, how much, and which stage they are at.
The search is granular enough that you can drop a Sales Navigator subscription if all you were buying was advanced list-building. We are building that layer into the platform.
Prospect here, then run the modules you already have
The product is becoming a full outreach suite. You pull the list here — people or companies that match the audience. Then you drop into the modules people already use: LinkedIn invite and connect, messaging follow-ups, and email sequences in the same flow. The extra fields exist so the first message is not a blank template.
Next: a personalization API with message templates
The API I want to ship next takes a LinkedIn profile. It reads the text, scores writing style, and returns personality profiles with a confidence score on each one. It only works if they wrote the profile themselves. You are scoring their words, not a recruiter's rewrite.
The useful part is not the label. It returns message templates meant to land on that type: someone who decides fast versus someone who wants a pile of information before they buy. Same list, same sequence, different first line.
Crystal Knows already does personality from a profile. They have not got an API. That is the gap.
Last lifetime deal, then we sell credits
Today is Thursday. Black Friday is tomorrow. We are calling this the last lifetime deal — the business is moving to MRR. The deal is for people who want to top up credits now that these endpoints exist. LTD money has gone back into the product. Nobody has taken a salary or a dividend.
The filters on the public release are templates. Tell us what you actually search by. If we do not have the field, we can go scrape it.
Black Friday is Growth-Hacking.io. Communities are
OFM Insider and
Automation Academy. Tools are on
Bento. One-off is
Calendly. Four sessions is
4x Consultations.

Hey guys it's Nathan. I just wanted to share two APIs that Frank and I have been working on. I'm really very very happy to release them. They're pretty big projects actually. So this first one is an API that will find profiles for you. We have 180 million profiles so we have enriched with LinkedIn data, company data and everything like that.
So we have filtering functionality here and you can input a job title for example and then go down to industry, company size and so on. So this doesn't use a LinkedIn profile. You're searching for results that we have actually scraped already. And a reason for this is because I know that for some people it was taking — it just uses up your account's resources, right. There's a limited number of actions you can do on LinkedIn per day and if you're spending a lot of time extracting from LinkedIn search and so on, whilst that is still great to do, if you wanted a more scalable way, if you're limited on the number of LinkedIn accounts you actually have, this would be a great solution plus it returns a ton of information to you.
So yeah you can just add in whatever functionality that you like. We have got a number of other filters that we can add so if there is anything that will be useful to you that you would like to see released then just leave a comment below and we can get it added. And yeah I'll just run it for you as a quick example. See this is the People Finder and we're also releasing one for companies as well depending on how you're reaching out to people. And the company's page would also return things like technologies installed on a website, whether or not the company has funding or not, and various different things like that.
So yeah People API: first name, last name, LinkedIn URLs you can add them to your flows, email status. We can also return an email to you here. Twitter, GitHub, Facebook — we haven't got one for this profile but if we have a result in the response, like there's a hundred profiles here, there will be some Twitter and Facebook profiles. Job title, country and state. And then we also have the organization here, which so this is like VoiceGain. I'm not familiar with them as a company. So we can return you website URL, blog, LinkedIn company page, Twitter company, Facebook company, phone number.
This is quite a small business by the looks of it as it hasn't got this information but it can also return phone number. Yeah it's a small company we haven't got an Alexa ranking, phone number, and whether or not they've had funding, how much funding they've had. And I just think this is super interesting for building out really personalized sequences. I mean depending what industry you're in as well. For example if you're in an investment or if you're running an accelerator program or something like that, which I know a number of our users are, you can actually query companies based on how much investment they've had or whether or not they've had investment and which stage that they are at.
And also we have the company's URL logo here that you could add in for personalization in your LinkedIn outreach. So as you can see I'm using this on our internal environment. I've been testing this for the past few days and we've gone through the beta testing stage and we're now going to be releasing this publicly on the Growth Hacking platform as well as the company search like I mentioned. So I'm really happy to get these out there and this is a really scalable way of getting infinite leads with really granular search criteria.
So you could potentially also replace your Sales Navigator subscription because we're building out the really advanced search functionality in here. And as well as I said on the Company API it will be something I guess quite similar to BuiltWith where you can actually search by technologies installed on the website as well as keywords, like if a specific phrase exists on the website and so on. So really interesting tools and I'm very happy to be releasing them as part of Growth Hacking because we're now moving even further towards a full service suite for outreach.
So you can do your prospecting here by returning you a list of companies or profiles that match your target audience and then you can move down into the Growth Hacking modules that you're more familiar with like LinkedIn invite and connect and then send your messaging follow-up sequences. But hopefully this data as well should really help with you building out personalization and so on and also building email sequences integrated into the same flow.
Yeah and also some other project — not project but another API that we're working on that I'm really excited to release is a personalization API. So you will send over a LinkedIn profile and from the text on the profile it will analyze the writing style, the content, and it will actually return you a personality profile based on the content on that LinkedIn profile. So this works very well assuming that they have written their LinkedIn profile themselves basically because it's analyzing style of writing. And it will return a number of different personality profiles and a confidence score in each different personality.
But the thing that makes it really interesting is it will actually give you message templates that are designed to resonate that specific personality profile. So is it someone who makes quick decisions? Is it someone who likes a lot of information before they make a decision on the purchase? And so following that criteria it means that you can build really really complex and personalized outreach all just from one tool. For example you're able to get all of the leads from Growth Hacking with really targeted criteria and then build them into an automated outreach flow across LinkedIn and email and then in the actual email and LinkedIn messaging it's going to be completely personalized for that personality type.
And so I think this is just really interesting stuff. Before if you wanted to achieve something like this, number one it would be pretty complicated to set up, particularly the personality analysis type stuff. Like there are things out there like Crystal Knows that do exist already but they haven't got an API. So I think this is an absolute game changer to be honest in terms of outreach. So I'm really happy to be releasing this stuff.
And yeah it is also — so today is Thursday, tomorrow is Black Friday actually. So we're going to be giving I think our last lifetime deal that we're ever going to do as a business. We're now focusing more on increasing MRR. And so I think yeah this will actually be the last lifetime deal that we do and it will be for people who maybe want to top up their credits particularly now that we've released these new APIs so the timing ties in pretty well.
And yeah from in terms of lifetime deal revenue generally it's all reinvested back into the product and none of us have taken a salary payment or dividend payment from the company at all so any money that is generated is just reinvested back into building new features basically. But I'll send more information out about that on an email. Yeah this I think we would actually be releasing today but yeah I was — I've finished all of my beta testing and I was really excited just to put a video together for everyone to share what we've been working on.
Yeah aside from that I'm getting back into the flow of making videos. I've also hired a video editor so there should be some more frequent content coming out on the channel. And because I'm now working in an office it's usually quite busy here. We've got our 900 square meter office but during the day it's quite busy because we're running a 24-hour company so it's not great for recording. So generally it's only on weekends or late in the evening that I can record.
Yeah only other thing is I would love some feedback on what type of search functionality would actually be really useful to you. So we've got all of that data already. So pretty much anything that comes to mind please just leave it in a comment below and we can look at adding the functionality for you to be able to return profiles and companies that match any criteria that you want because we have the data already and if we haven't got it we can go out and scrape it. And these are just some basic template ones but yeah I'd be really interested to hear some feedback from everyone. Yeah other than that thank you very much for watching and yeah good to be back working and releasing Growth Hacking modules. Yeah have a
