How to pay celebrities to endorse your business
Cameo is a marketplace for buying a short video from a celebrity. Most of the listings are birthday messages and graduation clips. I also found companies using those same videos as product endorsements.
I had not heard of it. I have not bought a clip yet. The price is why I filmed this.
$300 for a David Hasselhoff video
David Hasselhoff was $300. I expected that name to cost far more. Caitlyn Jenner is on there too. He will do more than a happy birthday — I saw him asking people to vote for someone named Brendon, also at $300.
Put $2,000 on the site and you get a stack of clips, not one agency retainer.
Match the celebrity to the product
Lindsay Lohan and that tier are not a SaaS play. They are an e-commerce play. A product page stacked with celebrity videos is social proof.
I sent it to a friend with a concentration and hangover supplement — vitamin C, electrolytes, magnesium, iron, the mix ravers in London actually take. His list is DJs, not tech founders. Dog the Bounty Hunter is on there. So is the Tiger King guy, and that name was getting search traffic when I recorded this. A British celebrity I opened would do fashion.
I spent about five minutes on the site. There were no marketing names I would use in my own work. For a store, there were plenty.
Check the rights, then advertise to their fans
Read the usage rights on the specific video before you spend it. Some people will promote a product. Some will not. Message them and ask.
The conversion play is not the Cameo page. Buy the Hasselhoff clip for the product. Run a Facebook Ads video and a
YouTube video to people in your audience who already follow him. Same clip, people who already like the face. That is the easy conversion.
Other celebrity-message sites exist. I have not seen this price. Celebrity endorsement is usually much more expensive. The platform is legitimate. If I start an e-commerce brand there are YouTubers on there I would buy from.
OFM Insider and
Automation Academy if you want the communities from this video. Tools and resources are
Bento. A one-off session is
Calendly. Four sessions is
4x Consultations.

Hey guys I just thought I'd share like a little platform that I've just come across and basically what this is for is buying messages from celebrities. So I'm going through it now and it seems that a lot of these are people doing that sort of happy birthday messages and so on like that they want to buy like a happy birthday some other people were doing that graduation messages and so on. But I did actually find a company that were using they were getting product endorsements from videos on here so there are actually some big names on here for example like David Hasselhoff right everyone has heard of. No it's only three hundred dollars for a video which I thought would be like way way more expensive for someone like David Hasselhoff.
And whether he would do product endorsements or not I'm not quite sure I can't see any here these are most like random little messages but he does endorse people he's asking someone to vote for this guy Brendon I think it was and for three hundred dollars. So that's if you had like a load of them if you put like a $2,000 budget up on here to see like and get some endorsement in. For example like Caitlyn Jenner again another very big name but you can get much more like focused on your niche. Lindsay Lohan like these aren't really people that would work in like a SaaS environment but if you're in like e-commerce or something and you had like a page pretty much of this of videos coming in from celebrities that I think that would be like really really powerful for conversions for like using social proof.
So I just sent this over to a friend of mine who has like a supplement for like concentration and I was saying to him like for concentration also for like recovery so also if people have like a hangover they've been out like raving there's quite a big rave culture in London and a number of other cities like they take this like supplement which is just a mixture of naturally growing things vitamin C electrolytes and various other little magnesium iron so on and it just helps with like with hangovers and that's why I said to him he could go in here and find a load of like DJs and things like that it's product. There's this guy I don't know if anyone's watched Tiger King I don't really recommend it wasn't very good but he was quite a big Netflix show and he was on there so I imagine he's getting quite a lot of search traffic on his name right now so that wouldn't be a stupid person to go for.
And then I've only spent like five minutes on here and I haven't really got anything to use it for now. Unfortunately there's not really any like big marketing names or anything really relevant but I think for e-commerce businesses like you could find some really really cool people to like promote your product. Dog the Bounty Hunter if people know I'm sure most people know him. This is like a British celebrity I'm sure she would promote like fashion products and so on. But anyway I just thought I'd share. I know there's plenty of other like similar things to this however I haven't seen anything at this price point it seems very cheap to me and it is a legitimate platform and in my experience things are always like much more expensive than this for like celebrity endorsement.
But yes it's called Cameo. So if you have like an e-commerce store if you want to get some promotion from celebrities like the thing that this would actually be great for would be you would have to look into the type of rights you can get on the specific video. But let's say you bought a video from David Hasselhoff promoting like your I don't know ecommerce product like whatever it may be and then you've ran like an advertising campaign like a Facebook Ads like video and YouTube video and so on like to people in your audience who also follow like David Hasselhoff I'm sure for sure that would convert very well that'd be a really easy way to convert.
But yeah anyway just very quick video I thought I'd share it and I haven't bought anything from here yet so I can't share my like personal experience but I definitely I hadn't heard of this platform before so I just thought I'd bring your attention to it and maybe you can utilize it on your website. And if I do start any like e-commerce brands in the near future there are a few like YouTubers on here that I may take advantage of like purchasing from them. But yeah I'm sure that there's a lot of my like subscribers and people watch my videos who could benefit from having videos from celebrities so I just thought I'd share a few. I think this is a really interesting avenue for growth and like I said that they do they will promote products I've seen a number of videos of celebrities promoting products whether they have an individual like rights like some of them will and some of them won't I'm not quite sure but I think it's definitely worth reaching out to some people on here to.
